This movie got Pennywise right in this film and scary performance. A great cast and good story. I like how they copy some of the things from the original one from 1990. They have great CGI effects like they look real like most CGI today. I think this is the best horror reboot like most failed or mix review sometime praised like this film is possible better than Rob Zombie Halloween films and it's better than Micheal Bay's horror remakes.

It's not wearing makeup or a wig. That's just how Mother made it's skin and hair look. The clown costume is not even really a costume. It's basically a part of it's skin. Pennywise was totally un-neutralized. This is just how it is when it is left to it's own devices (which it hardly ever is. At a certain point, the boy basically became a consciousless prop animated by Mother.

This movie was fantastic. What makes it so good though? I'll tell you!
The acting was brilliant for all the characters. You could really feel the emotion and the fear that the characters were feeling. Also, Bill Skarsgard was definitely very scary as Pennywise which is what I always wanted.
The camera work was top of line as it was used perfectly to set up scare scenes. One of them will for sure get you! Which one? You'll have to watch to find out!
The director (Andy Muschietti) really understood how to scare the audience, there wasn't any breathing time in this movie.
A lot of this movie shows how children feel and act when they are scared. Of course, none of the adults are winning parent of the year but it really shows how adults will never really believe what their child is telling them.
This movie is just much more frightening because they are children. That was the issue with the second part of the miniseries. I mean it was awful, but on top of that it just wasn't scary because they are adults and as we know you become less scared of things with age.
Looking on the controversial side of things, I really hoped they took one part of the book and put it in the movie. Unfortunately they didn't as it would have been ballsy and could have cause some issues. The part I am talking about is where they all think they need to become adults to stop IT harassing them so they did what adults do. If you don't know what I mean, read the book!
My opinion of this movie was very high, what about chapter 2? You'll have to wait and see.
